Quick Ship Process in Oracle Fusion: A Faster Way to Fulfill Orders
For
quicker shipment, you can skip pick release and pick confirmation and ship
goods on transfer orders and sales orders.
The Quick
Ship feature in Oracle Fusion enables faster shipment processing by
bypassing the Pick Release and Pick Confirmation steps, allowing
goods to be shipped directly for Sales Orders and Transfer Orders.
This is especially useful for urgent deliveries or when items are already
staged for shipment.
When to Use
Quick Ship?
- Urgent Deliveries – When
an order needs to be shipped immediately.
- Direct Shipments – When
goods are already available in the staging area or at the dock.
- Small Quantity Orders – When
manual picking is not required.
Key Benefits:
- Reduced Processing Time – Skips
intermediate steps like pick release and pick confirmation.
- Operational Simplicity – Fewer
transactions and screens to navigate.
- Real-Time Order Fulfillment –
Immediate shipment confirmation updates order and inventory records
instantly.

the Shipments Tasks panel.

On the Manage Shipment
Lines page, search for a shipment line that is in the below status-

For the shipment line,
enter values for inventory details such as-

generated at receipt or SO issue, you must enter the shipped quantity
and serial number details on the Shipment Lines page. Only then
will the Quick Ship status be activated, making the line eligible for
quick shipping.
Select
the required serial numbers from LOV and populated the shipped quantity.
Once
above values are provided and form is saved, the quick ship status gets
activated.
·
The Enable Quick Ship
attribute activates Quick Ship functionality for the selected inventory
organization. However, it does not prevent users from following the regular
shipping process using Pick Release, Pick Confirm, and Ship
Confirm steps.
·
Users can choose between
the Quick Ship or Standard Shipping process based on specific
requirements.
·
Inventory transactions are
recorded and visible in the system when using the Quick Ship process as well.
